Baadfarten

(0.0)

Sorgenfrivej 23, 2800 Kongens Lyngby

Baadfarten has a long history which goes all the way back to 1893, when the company first began transporting people on Furesø. During the years Lyngby Lake and Bagsværd Lake has been added to Baadfarten’s routes, which means that Baadfarten today has three routes. All three routes offer great experiences in beautiful surroundings just 20 minutes from Copenhagen.

Lyngby Lake

By taking Baadfarten across Lyngby Lake, you get the opportunity of experiencing the lake from a new perspective. The boat sails across the lake and onto Mølleåen (the Millstream) and on to Frederiksdal. At Frederiksdal, you can get off the boat and buy an ice cream or eat lunch at Frederiksdal Sinatur Hotel and Conference. You can also change boats and take a trip on Furesø. On the trip back to Lyngby, the boat also stops at Nybro. Here you can also buy an ice cream, but you can also change boats and take a trip on Bagsværd Lake.

The trip across Lyngby Lake and Mølleåen takes approx. 55 min.

Bagsværd Lake

The trip on Bagsværd Lake has plenty to offer when it comes to beautiful scenery and great experiences. Bagsværd Lake is full of life and activity partly because the lake houses a rowing stadium. This means that there is always plenty of rowers using the lake. The boat departs from the landing stage in Lyngby and subsequently stops at Nybro, Bagsværdvej, Aldershvile and Sophienholm, before it returns to Lyngby. If you get off the boat at Aldershvile you can take a lovely stroll in the park at Alderhvile Castle. Here you can also see the Alderhvile Castle Ruin. Sophienholm also has a nice park where you can go for a walk. However, you can also visit the art museum and immerse yourself in modern art. The museum also has a café where you can eat lunch and get a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. If you are thinking about going for a picnic in Alderhvile Castle Park or visiting Sophienholm Art Museum, then leave the car in the garage and take Baadfarten instead.

At Nybro you can change boats and take a trip to Frederiksdal.

The trip on Bagsværd Lake takes approx. 55 min.

Furesø

Take a trip on Furesø with Baadfarten and see the deepest lake in Denmark. During the trip you can experience great scenery and plenty of animal life. The boat sails through the area called “Vaserne” which houses more than 180 different species of birds. The trip starts at Frederiksdal and the boat stops at Jægerhuset (the Hunting Lodge), Holte Harbour, Birkerød Boat Club and Furesøbad (Furesø bathing area). If you get off the boat at Jægerhuset, you can buy a delicious lunch at the restaurant. You can also get a bite to eat or buy an ice cream at Furesøbadet and Holte Harbour. At Furesøbadet you can take a refreshing swim in the lake and enjoy a picnic on the lawn. On the trip on Furesø, you can also see plenty of charming old buildings such as the old mill at Frederiksdal and Næsse Castle in Holte.

At Frederiksdal you can change boats and take a trip across Lyngby Lake.

The trip on Furesø takes approx. 1 hour and 50 min.

At the ticket office at Sorgenfrivej in Lyngby, you can buy beer, juice and ice cream all made from local produce.
